Dearest Bored Baboon. I’m afraid you missed the most essential ones you have. Super powers are a funny thing you see, the most important ones are in front of us and obvious hence, we don’t notice . Besides your amazing nature you also possess the superpower of freezing time …I guess it’s what all Raw members have ;-)

Ha you are right, we all have that power. Thanks for the reminder and the other sweet comment ❤️

As below, I have also developed an innate and accurate sense of direction. My wife calls me the human sat-nav. I wouldn't call it a "super-power" but it has been very useful for most of my adult life. TBH, I'm not really sure that I possess anything that could legitimately be called a "super-power". As a younger man, I could make heroic quantities of Guinness disappear quite rapidly and still be able to find my way home. If I can achieve and maintain ordinariness, I'll be happy.

Human sat-nav is 100% a superpower!! The Guiness thing is impressive but less good for you ;) but seriously, knowing to navigate is pretty amazing and i genuinely admire people who are good at it.

We definitely share the superhuman packing skills and the trying to help when nobody's asking. I am also exceptional at jinxing things, from a highly anticipated plan that failed at the very last minute to having my team lose every single time I watched the games but win every time I didn't watch. These days I don't follow any sports and I try to keep my plans to myself (as much as I can).

I'm still waiting for the gods to give me the power to stop time so that I can catch up with everything that I've postponed for the past 20 years.

Nice! Love that I’m not alone in the wanting to help when no one asked! And yes, stopping time that’s a good one and one that i could really do with as of late 😂

I'll let you know if I ever figure it out.

I have to say I’m quite jealous of your ability to sleep anywhere. I cannot sleep on a plane, no matter how sleep deprived I may be. I will nearly fall asleep at the terminal and risk missing my flight but once I board the plane sleeping seems to be out of the question.

Christelle Enquist's avatar

Oh no! That’s terrible 😂 but I’m sure you have some other superpower that’s just as good!

I share a lot of the same super power wishes (language) and current (sleeping, packing, getting dressed in 5 min flat). We must be doppelgängers! I am adding time traveler as a current power to my list. I wake up in one country and go to sleep in another—always with amazement that it’s possible.

Hahaha you are very good at time travel. Also this post was very much inspired by the conversations we had during the bookmaking workshop with Dan 😂

I recognise in myself the tendency towards imposing my own unsolicited help on unwitting strangers, but maybe not to that extent 😂 and I’m very jealous of the micro packing powers. A multi lingual understanding could be amazing but maybe too much in some places, like the middle of Heathrow or JFK. But if I had one good super power it would be the ability to remember the words of every song after just one hearing. I would swap it with my current trick of singing along with my own version of the lyrics to the general dismay/ amusement of others.

Jacqui—I just found this sun and addictive reel/show/game called Trackstarshow. It’s on IG. You can practice your desired super power by playing along with others. 🎶

Haha thanks Stephanie - I will definitely try it out!!

My superpower is directions. I’ve always intuitively known how to get someplace, even as a child. I would tell my father to drive in a certain direction only to be told to hush. Later, there was always a, “You were right, I should’ve listened.” Also, if I drive someplace once, I will never need directions again.

That’s pretty damn impressive!
